The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) are poised to form a strategic partnership aimed at bridging training gaps and boosting revenue within the country’s aviation sector.
This development was announced during a recent meeting between the NCAA’s Director General, Capt. Chris Najomo, and the management of NCAT, led by Rector Dr. Danjuma Ismail, at the NCAA’s Abuja office.
According to Dr. Ismail, the collaboration is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of aviation professionals, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations, which in turn is expected to generate revenue for the institution.
The partnership is also anticipated to improve safety and efficiency in the aviation sector, while paving the way for joint development of initiatives and sharing of expertise.
As part of its plans to upgrade its infrastructure to meet growing training needs, NCAT is seeking support from the NCAA, potentially through corporate social responsibility initiatives or joint partnerships.
In response, Capt. Najomo expressed the NCAA’s willingness to provide support and assistance to NCAT where necessary, highlighting the Authority’s commitment to collaborative efforts that promote aviation development in Nigeria.
The partnership is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s aviation industry, driving growth and improvement in safety and efficiency.
