The election, conducted virtually during the 53rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Kano State, concluded on Thursday evening.
Edino emerged victorious after a competitive race against three other candidates. A total of 401 ballots were cast out of 420 registered voters.
In his acceptance speech, Edino pledged to foster unity among Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs), aviation agencies, and other industry stakeholders.
He also assured members that NATCA would continue to prioritize professionalism and welfare.
“NATCA is there for professionalism and also the welfare of all controllers. My goal is to ensure the growth of the profession. God will give us the wisdom to see how we can take the profession to the next level.”
Edino also expressed gratitude to the outgoing president, Mr. Abayomi Agoro, for his leadership and contributions to the association.
The newly elected executives, who will serve a three-year term, include:

The 53rd AGM has the theme: “Sustainability of the Renewed Hope Agenda in Aviation: The imperative of Manpower Development and Efficient Air Navigation Services.”
