The Nigerian Aviation Fire and Safety Association, NAFSA, Biennial Conference 2024, has stressed the importance of collaboration and inclusiveness in emergency response to achieve effective aviation safety.
The theme of the conference is: “Rationale For Collaborations And Inclusiveness In Emergency Response Geared Toward Achieving The Aviation Roadmap.
In his keynote address, Hon. Kudla Satumari Haske, Accountable Manager of Aerokeys Nigeria Limited, urged various agencies to work together to reduce the risks of failure during emergencies.
He highlighted the need for shared knowledge and expertise, interoperability and coordination and comprehensive risk assessment.
Others are, enhanced situational awareness, improved resource allocation, increased stakeholder trust and confidence, alignment with global standards and best practices, and adaptive and resilient systems.
Haske emphasized that embracing collaborations and inclusiveness in emergency response can lead to a more effective, efficient, and sustainable approach to safety, ultimately supporting the achievement of the aviation roadmap.
He encouraged Heads of Aviation Agencies and attendees to align with the advocacy for collaborations and inclusiveness presented by the conference theme.
The conference aimed to create awareness about the rationale for attending to aviation emergencies and the importance of working together as team players to reduce the risks of failure during emergencies.
With the increasing capacities of Emergency Responders, whose primary responsibility is risk management and coordination, collaborations and inclusiveness are crucial in achieving the aviation roadmap.
