The re-elected president of the National Air Traffic Communicators Association of Nigeria (NACAN), Alhaji Rabiu Mohammed Sani, has pledged to uphold transparency and ensure better representation for all members during his second term in office.
In his acceptance speech after being sworn in for a second consecutive term, Sani reflected on the progress and challenges of his first tenure, noting that obstacles were overcome and the association has made significant strides.
He emphasized that, moving forward, members from all 26 chapters across the country would have an active voice in NACAN’s decisions.
As part of efforts to improve governance, Sani revealed that NACAN plans to review its constitution to allow for broader consultations and increased member participation in key decisions.
The re-elected president also reassured members of the association’s commitment to financial transparency, stating that all financial dealings will be conducted with full accountability.
He commended the support of members throughout his first tenure and highlighted the association’s strong financial standing.
“For the first time in NACAN’s history, this Annual General Meeting is being conducted without any debt,” Sani said.
“Every activity, every event, and every initiative has been fully funded by our own resources. This prudent financial management ensures that the incoming executives can assume their roles without the burden of inherited liabilities or legal complications.”
