The National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers, NAAPE has commended the minister of state, aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika for his outstanding zeal, dedication, and patriotism as well as astute leadership in the speedy completion of the Abuja Airport runway.
In a statement, president, NAAPE, Mr. Isaac Balami said “we are pleased with the reopening of the Abuja airport on schedule. We consider it very impressive that the (FAAN) has been able to carry out this assignment with diligence and sense of responsibility”.
“NAAPE wishes to commend the Honourable Minister of State, Aviation FAAN also deserves commendation for the accuracy of the timing of the construction period as well as the substantial upgrade achieved in the airport terminal within such a short period”.
He emphasized that “Of great importance too is the visible seamless operations at the alternative Kaduna airport during the period of the closure. All the aviation agencies and airlines that operated at the Kaduna airport deserve full marks for the safe and reasonably smooth operations, considering the rather difficult circumstances at the time”.
“While the heavy losses on various businesses within the period were predicted by us, we are satisfied that the Government acted with the best intentions and carried out the task with uncommon devotion.”Therefore, Kudos to all stakeholders for this outstanding success”.
