Unfortunately, one of the thieves, Usmam Musa did not escape the shot fired by one of the airforce guard, Musa was hit on the shoulder.

“Usman Musa, 28 years old, a native of Adamawa State, residing at Ijora”.

“He was arrested and taken to 661NAFH Ikeja”.

The FAAN image maker disclosed that, “he is presently receiving treatment at General  Hospital Oyingbo while his other two  accomplices escaped”.

“Usman Musa will be properly interrogated  after he has been stabilised”.

Yakubu-Funtua said, the Agency believes  that this incident could  be a relevant clue to unravelling the theft of the Runway Lighting at the Murtala Muhammed International  Airport, Ikeja.

It would be recalled that, that three weeks ago, the runway airfield lighting was stolen by a syndicate alleged to be staff of the airport.

This incident led to a minor reshuffle and redeployment and appointment of some key officers.
