A leading aviation training organisation,Leadstream Aviation Training Organisation has trained fifteen Nigerians on the Challenger aircraft to further boost manpower in the aviation sector.
The executive officer, Leadstream Aviation Training Organisation, Engr Roland Ahmed told journalists in his office at the airport that the training involving engineers on Challenger 601/604/605 was to boost the capacity of Nigeria engineers in order to develop local capacity for the industry.
Ahmed said the training of the engineers in the country by the organization was to reduce foreign dependence,conserve forex and grow the domestic market.
Two engineers from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and one from the Accident Investigation Bureau were on the Challenger aircraft training.
Leadstream ATO was approved by the NCAA to further address the shortage of manpower through training of aviation stakeholders in the country.
Ahmed said the ATO was gradually penetrating into domestic airlines by training their technical staff locally thereby saving huge amount of money adding that 25 air safety inestigators were recently trained on the B737 classic aircraft.
