SAHCO Plc has secured a significant contract to assume ground handling services for Ethiopian Airlines at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
Effective from January 1st, 2024, SAHCO commenced the provision of Ramp handling, Cargo handling, Warehousing, and other aviation-related services.
In a statement, the Head, Corporate Communications Mrs Venessa Uansohia says, despite previously offering Cargo Handling and Warehousing to Ethiopian Airlines, SAHCO’s acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, cutting-edge technology, well-trained staff, and a reputation for seamless service prompts Ethiopian Airlines to choose SAHCO as their new preferred handler at the Cargo Ramp in Lagos.
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline in terms of passengers, destinations, fleet size, and revenue, has been operating in Nigeria for over 30 years.
Mr. Basil Agboarumi, SAHCO’s Managing Director/CEO, attributed the selection to SAHCO’s stellar track record and professionalism.
He emphasized the trust and confidence instilled in Ethiopian Airlines, leading to the relocation of their ground handling contract.
The statement says, the partnership will ensure customers of speedy, safe, and seamless ramp and cargo movements.
Adding that, the contract solidifies SAHCO’s position, with an increasing number of airlines choosing their unrivaled services.
