Normalcy seem to have returned to the control of aircraft landing and take off at the Lagos airports as efforts are on in the calibration of instruments landing aids at the Lagos Airport.

Investigation revealed that the Localizer and Distance Measuring Equipment, DME in the International Airport Runway 18Right and Glide Slopes on the Domestic Airport Runway 18Left and 18R have successfully been calibrated and has pass test flight.

Work is also said to be in progress on the Glide slope on 18R as the calibration team are doing their best possible to complete the job.

It was learnt that Air Traffic controllers at the Lagos Airport  are heaving a sigh of relief as their job of Controlling air traffic has been made seamless with the calibration of instruments for landing.

In the past two weeks, the controllers have been handling  air traffic with epileptic landing aids which resulted in foreign carriers diverting their flights to Accra, Ghana.
