The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace development, Mr. Festus Keyamo has promised to employ transparency, team spirit and selflessness to accomplish the mandate given to him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Aviation and aerospace Sector.
At a reception to welcome him on his first day in office, the minister pledged continuity in previous works in the Aviation Sector and improve on its modus operandi.”
Mr. Keyamo assured members of staff who attended the meeting that he was people oriented and was committed to satisfying the people.
Speaking on behalf of the Directors and staff of the Ministry, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole expressed happiness and preparedness by staff to work with the Minister assuring the minister their commitment to help him deliver his mandate.
In a related development, the new Minister on Monday night in Abuja was hosted by representatives of the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) at a dinner in his honour moments after he was inaugurated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Keyamo, was glad to receive the duo of Chief Allen Onyema, Vice President, AON and also chairman of Air Peace and Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, spokesman, AON and also chairman of United Nigeria Airlines Company Limited.
The dinner which held at the expensive A-Class Restaurant in Wuse area of Abuja, attracted people from different walks of life including the minister’s associates in the legal profession and schoolmates from his secondary school and university.
Despite the crowd of interested persons seeking to gain the new Minister’s attention, he still made out time to attend to industry stakeholders who graced the event.
