The Minister of Aviation of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, has lauded the Akwa Ibom governor’s accomplishments during a visit to the Victor Attah International Airport.

The Minister, impressed by the ongoing projects, particularly praised the nearing completion of a top-notch terminal, heralding it as the best among sub-national entities in the country.

The Governor’s commitment to these initiatives, received special acknowledgment for his dedication to the completion of the innovative Maintenance, Repairs, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, deemed the first of its kind in Nigeria, with potential regional impact.

The Minister emphasized the strategic significance of the MRO, foreseeing its influence not only within Nigeria but across West, East, and North Africa.

The collaborative effort between the Akwa Ibom Government and the Federal Government is highlighted as pivotal in fully realizing the airport’s potential.
