In a move to bolster engineering capabilities and national security, the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) have forged a strategic partnership.

The partnership was forged when Rear Admiral Abolaji Orederu, the Admiral Superintendent and Managing Director/CEO of the Naval Dockyard, paid a courtesy visit to the NSE President, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, in Lagos.

The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration between the two organizations, particularly in engineering development, technical expertise, and capacity building.

During the visit, Rear Admiral Orederu underscored the Naval Dockyard’s commitment to working closely with the NSE to foster innovation and technical excellence within the maritime sector.

He emphasized the potential for enhanced training, research, and knowledge sharing through this partnership, benefiting both institutions.

In response, Engr. Oguntala expressed the NSE’s unwavering support for the Nigerian Navy’s mission to develop cutting-edge engineering solutions and build a skilled workforce.

She highlighted the importance of synergy between military and civilian engineering professionals in advancing national infrastructure and defense capabilities.
