Hajj Terminal Manager calls for collaboration as Aviation Lions Club embarks on tree planting


The Manager, hajj terminal, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) Comrade Alale Adedayo has appealed to stakeholders to join hands in moving the environment and infrastructure at the terminal.

Speaking shortly after being decorated by the District Governor Lions Club, district 404 B, during the tree planting exercise, embarked on by the club, Adedayo said, the feat of developing the terminal was a collective one which needed contribution the all the stakeholders.

“We will join hands together and move this terminal forward, am happy that you are here and you have been doing a very great work, for God who put it in your mind to remember this place, we appreciate you”

The Hajj terminal manager applauded the contributions of the Ikeja Aviation Lion Club to the service of humanity and urged them not to relent in their effort to improving the lots of the people.

The District Governor 404B Lions Club, Dr Ademola Adesoye stress the need for members of the Ikeja Aviation Lions Club to improve in their service to the whole world to promote happiness as this is the Lions obligation.

Adesoye noted that wherever there was problem in the whole world, the Lions club was ready to provide solution hence the need to join Lion.

“We are not business group but at the same time we network but we are not business group. We are serving humanity through Lion and more importantly, a lot of training and you know the essence if training, leadership development when you want to go for one training or the other you pay a lot of money but in Lion most of time we get it free and whenever it is not free, it will just be a token”
Speaking on the theme of the exercise: “Youth Empowerment on Environment Beautification”, the President Ikeja Aviation Lions Club, Engr. Abdulrahman Musa said there were so many ways to change the lives of the youths from social vices through positive grooming.

Musa said youths can changed for the better through learning by teaching them what they do not know and exposing them to knowledge they do not have.

“It is not just about academics, going to school, reading books. If you can plant one tree, you discover at the end of the day, you will know how to plant other trees. So let us start now and join some other groups, am not forcing anybody to come to Lion but you will look for Lion by yourself because Lion is real and we are there for the whole world that is why we serve the nation, we serve the world, humanity, use your money to serve humanity and that is why we are here”
