The Oyo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to hosting a world-class 2025 International Engineering Conference, Exhibition, and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Ibadan.

Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde gave the assurance during a courtesy visit by Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) President, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, in Abuja.

The Governor has approved the sponsorship of key components of the conference and also granted the request for the First Lady of Oyo State, Engr. Tamunominini Makinde, to host the Spouses’ Forum.

The NSE President hailed the Governor’s gestures as visionary, reflecting his strong belief in the crucial role of engineering in national development.

The Oyo State Government’s collaboration with NSE is expected to generate widespread enthusiasm for the event, which is set to attract engineering professionals from across Nigeria and beyond.

The partnership is seen as a remarkable precedent, built on visionary leadership, professional excellence, and a shared commitment to national transformation through engineering.

With preparations underway for IBADAN2025, the Oyo State Government’s support is poised to make the event a success, further solidifying the state’s reputation as a hub for engineering excellence.

The conference is expected to provide a platform for engineers to share knowledge, showcase innovations, and discuss critical issues in the field.
