The National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA) has announced the training faculty for its upcoming 2025 Travel Trade Training Course in Banjul, Gambia.
With just 48 hours to depart Nigeria, NANTA President, Yinka Folami, revealed that the carefully selected faculty comprises renowned experts in the tourism industry.
Leading the team of experts is Fatou Mas Jobe, former Minister of Tourism of The Gambia, who brings a wealth of experience in luxury resort management and funding.
Mas Jobe, a global advocate for tourism funding, successfully headed a $12 million World Bank marketing project, generating a record 500,000 tourist arrivals for The Gambia.
Her innovative management skills and reputation in the industry make her an ideal trainer for the NANTA participants.
The training faculty also includes Dr. Adama Bah, Director and Chairman of the Institute of Travel and Tourism of The Gambia, with over 40 years of experience in the industry.
Dr. Bah is a foundation member of the Association of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Tourism (ASSET) and has contributed significantly to the development of tourism in The Gambia.
Completing the faculty is Mr. Mutiu Kolawole Ambali, lead lecturer and head of the Tourism and Hospitality Department of the University of Gambia. With a Master’s degree in Tourism Development and extensive experience in tourism and hospitality management, Ambali is well-equipped to share his knowledge with the Nigerian participants.
The NANTA team, comprising over 90 registered travel trade professionals, will depart Lagos on Monday, May 26th, with Airpeace, Nigeria’s largest local carrier, as its partner.
The one-week training and tourism trade exposure and expedition aims to hone the skills of Nigerian travel trade professionals and provide them with valuable industry insights.
With this expert faculty, participants can expect a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
