
The Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos was agog this morning as arriving children were showered with gifts by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN in the spirit of the season.
The children who arrived on Emirates flight EK173 at about 9.30 were accompanied by their parents to the Santa Claus stand at the E-Arrival were they given gifts.
The kids who were elated at the gesture sat with the FAAN Santa Claus as they presented their package by the Airport Manager, Mrs. Victoria Shinaba and assisted by senior FAAN staff at the terminal.
Some of the parents whose children received gifts thanked the Management of FAAN for the gifts and urged them to continue with the gesture as this add colours and put smiles on the faces of the children this festival season.

In a chat with reporters during the distribution of the gifts, the Airport
Manager and Manager, South West Airports, Mrs. Victoria Shinaba said, it was the tradition of FAAN on a yearly basis to felicitate with passengers including adults and children.
According to her, it was put together for children coming into the country to have a feel of Santa at the airport so that they would happy, adding that it was a form of customer service for the children.
“We had it last year, it is a good one, you can see smiles on their faces, surprise on the faces of some them that WOW this is happening in Nigeria. It is a welcome package for them”.

Shinaba noted that the distribution of the gift items took place simultaneously across the Abuja, Kano and Port-Harcourt Internationals including the General Aviation Terminals one Lagos.
“It is being done at all international airports also at the GAT”.
