FAAN engages stakeholders, promise service excellence with team work

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma says Management is committed to improving and consolidating on its service delivery efforts to satisfy its customers.

Dunoma who stated this at the 2018 First Quarter Stakeholders Forum of the SERVICOM Department of FAAN said stakeholders contributions and inputs were needed to achieve this feat.

Represented by the Director, Engineering Services, FAAN, Salisu Daura, Dunoma noted that though there were areas of service failure, the agency was ready to get stakeholders suggestions, solutions and complaints to help them address these challenges and continue to give them satisfactory service.

“You are encouraged to discuss strengths, weaknesses and expectations. The urgent challenges will be sorted out immediately and the complex ones with long time processing will still be looked into and resolved accordingly. Let us join hands together to move the Aviation industry in Nigeria forward”.

According to the FAAN boss, working together as a team would ensure improved service delivery in any organization stressing that every worker has a role to play in the system.

“Service delivery is very key in systems growth, everybody must be involved in teamwork. Everyone has a role to play to ensure effective service”

“Your input in making sure that there is quality service delivery is paramount for the sustainability of the organization in particular and aviation industry in general”
Engr Dunoma urged workers of the agency to remain committed in the discharge of their duties to improve on the state of airports across the country.

Dunoma stressed that the purpose of the forum was to evaluate, analyse services rendered, draw up modalities and submit recommendations to FAAN Management for the realization of the agency’s vision as well as protect stakeholders interest.


In her Good will message, National Coordinator/CEO, SERVICOM in the Presidency, Mrs Nnenna Akajimeli said effective stakeholders engagement was key to agencies of government if they were to have a clear sense of where they are, where they were going in attaining service excellence.
” to get it right, there must be constant consultations and discussions amongst stakeholders to share information, experiences, best practice etc. on how to move the service delivery efficiency level towards attaining service excellence”.

Akajimeli said the gathering of stakeholders further attested to FAAN’s demonstration and commitment of FAAN MD Saleh Dunoma and management’s team work in attaining service excellence.
“Thus the timing, therefore, is most apt and could not have been at a better time than now going by the passion and enthusiasm exhibited by FAAN’s staff and other stakeholders to come together to discuss on how to move FAAN forward going by the role it plays in the socio- economic development of Nigeria”.

She urged stakeholders to join hands with FAAN to achieve it mandate,” all hands must be on deck, we are therefore duty-bound individually and collectively to support the activities of FAAN in order to achieve its mandate and service excellence”.
Stakeholders present at the event called on FAAN to address issues of touting, power outage, access control, inadequate scanning machines for the EOD, attitude of staff amongst others.
