On Tuesday, October 31st, a heartwarming and nostalgic day unfolded for the staff of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), especially those in the Safety Department, as they bid farewell to their esteemed General Manager, Mr. Nath McAbraham Inajoh.

He was widely recognized as one of the agency’s brightest minds.

As early as 8 a.m., friends, relatives, and admirers of Mr. Mc Abraham gathered at his residence within the FAAN quarters at the domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport. They then accompanied him to the agency’s boardroom for his farewell ceremony.

The boardroom was filled to capacity, a testament to Abraham’s significant impact on FAAN staff and the enduring legacy he left behind during his decade of dedicated service to the airport management agency, as confirmed by Mr. Kabir Mohammed, the Managing Director of FAAN.

Senior management staff took turns to praise this Certified Management Consultant and Trainer, describing him as a teacher, coach, guide, counselor, and an inspiration to staff at various levels through his training methods and guidance.

Acting General Manager of the Safety Department, Mrs. Mba Ifeoma, acknowledged Mc Abraham as a mentor, coach, and counselor who accomplished a great deal for the agency, particularly in enhancing safety standards across airports during his three-year tenure as GM of the Safety Services Department.

The reception held by FAAN’s Safety Department to honor Mc Abraham in Ikeja GRA featured glowing tributes from various individuals, including Mr. Idris Yakubu, a former Managing Director and CEO of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (NAHCO Aviance).

He emphasized Mc Abraham’s status as a world-renowned coach and called upon the government to leverage his wealth of experience for the country’s human capacity development.

Mr. Yakubu highlighted Mc Abraham’s qualifications, such as being a Certified Management Trainer (CMD), a Certified Management Consultant (CIMC), and an International Airport Professional (IAP), and his extensive training experience across various industries.

The event was graced by church members, alumni of the University of Jos (where Mc Abraham obtained his first degree), family, relatives, business associates, and others.

In response to the outpouring of praise, Mc Abraham expressed his commitment to continue contributing to Nigeria’s human capacity development when called upon.

He urged FAAN staff to apply the knowledge they had gained under his guidance to further the growth of the aviation sector.
