President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Ismaila Danjuma Adamu, PhD, as the substantive Rector/Chief Executive of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT).
The appointment has been received with gratitude by the Acting Rector, Mr. Joseph Imalighwe, and the entire staff of NCAT.
According to Dr. Jude Amadi, Director of Information, NCAT, Dr. Adamu’s appointment is being hailed as a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment to placing highly qualified individuals in key positions.

Dr. Adamu is a seasoned academic and administrator, holding a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, as well as a PhD from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, with a thesis focusing on the impact of international air transport liberalization in Nigeria.
His extensive experience in civil aviation management and operations is further demonstrated by his participation in numerous international aviation conferences, seminars, and courses, including: Air transport marketing, Westminster, ICAO Trainair plus competency Course, EASA Kenya, ICAO Basic AVSEC course, Bahrain.
Prior to his appointment, Dr. Adamu served as an Aviation Management Resource person at NCAT, demonstrating his deep commitment to the institution. His expertise spans both air and land transport sectors.
“He has no doubt spent time and resources to prepare and equip himself for this national assignment. He no doubt combines deep knowledge and expertise in both the air transport (aviation) and land transport sectors”.
A family man and native of the region, Dr. Adamu is warmly welcomed back to NCAT.
