The Nigerian Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, has ordered the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to immediately suspend Dana Airline’s fleet pending a comprehensive audit.

This decision comes in the wake of a recent runway excursion involving one of Dana’s aircraft at Lagos airport on Monday.

The audit will cover all aspects of safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and financial health to ensure full compliance with Nigerian aviation regulations.

The audit is expected to be thorough and expedited, with the NCAA’s expertise and diligence ensuring a swift and decisive outcome.

The suspension is a response to recent incidents involving Dana Airline, which have raised serious concerns about both the safety and financial viability of their operations.

The letter from the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, emphasizes the paramount priority of ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens and travelers.

The letter underscores the urgency of this matter, emphasizing the need for swift and decisive action to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders involved.

Dr. Meribole has expressed confidence in the NCAA’s ability to carry out the audit thoroughly and expeditiously.
