Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline, has not had an easy ride to achieve its current status, so says its Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema.

Speaking at a celebration marking the airline’s milestone of launching direct flight services to London, he expressed gratitude to the flying public, aviation stakeholders, the media, and the government for their continued support since the airline’s inception in 2014.

Onyema acknowledged the crucial role played by former Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, Engineer Ben Adeyileka, in helping the airline secure its Airline Operator Certificate.

“We’re not just an airline; we’re a symbol of Nigerian pride and a representation of the country’s economic growth,” Onyema emphasized. “For every penny you pay to Air Peace, you’re supporting the jobs of thousands of Nigerians and contributing to the country’s economic development.”

The airline boss highlighted the importance of Air Peace’s commitment to safety, praising the airline’s management and staff for their efforts in realizing the London dream.

He also thanked Fidelity Bank for its consistent support, stating that the bank had contributed significantly to the airline’s success.

Onyema emphasized that Air Peace was established primarily to create employment opportunities, not to profiteer.

He revealed that the airline’s motivation was to empower Nigerians economically, creating massive job opportunities in the process.

The airline has a reputation for engaging in humanitarian interventions, including evacuation flights at critical times.

Onyema stressed that Air Peace truly cares about the Nigerian project and that supporting the airline means supporting the growth of the Nigerian economy.

Fidelity Bank’s Managing Director, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, commended Air Peace’s financial discipline and giant strides, stating that the airline has been loyal to the bank and that they are grateful to have them as a client.

The celebration marked a significant milestone in Air Peace’s journey, with the airline now offering direct flights from Nigeria to London.
