The book, authored by aviation editor with New Telegraph Newspaper, Mr. Wole Shadare, is a comprehensive account of the aviation industry in Nigeria from 1925 to 2025.

The 25-chapter book provides a detailed history of civil aviation in Nigeria, highlighting key issues and prospects for future growth.

According to Mr. Shadare, the book is a “compendium of facts and figures on the aviation journey” that will be invaluable to scholars, researchers, and industry professionals.

The book has been endorsed by several notable figures in the industry, including former Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Dr. Harold Demuren, who wrote the foreword.

The book launch, which will take place at the Golfview Hotel in Lagos, will feature a review of the book by Prof. Anthony Kila, a Jean Monnet professor of strategy and development.

The event will also include the maiden edition of the Aviation Metric Colloquium, an annual event aimed at bringing together decision-makers to proffer solutions to the many challenges facing the aviation industry.

The colloquium with the theme, “Issues in the growth and development of aviation in Nigeria: A critical perspective,” will provide a platform for stakeholders to critique the current state of the industry and discuss ways to address its many problems.

Other dignitaries expected to attend the event include the Director-General of NCAA, Capt. Chris Najomo; Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku; Managing Director of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr.
