
The Acting Director General, Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo has urged increased collaboration among D-8 member states to meet and exceed international aviation standards.
In his address at the 13th D-8 Meeting of Directors General and Experts Working Group in Civil Aviation, Captain Najomo emphasized the importance of stronger regional cooperation to enhance safety, security, and capacity building within the aviation sector.
He harped on the need for the countries to work together to address critical issues affecting the sector, including safety standards, air transport connectivity, and the integration of technological advancements to improve operational efficiency.

The meeting, held in Antalya, Turkey, brought together representatives from Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey to discuss critical issues such as safety standards, air transport connectivity, and the integration of technology.
