Capacity Building and Career Development in Focus as Mamaj Aviation Consult Hosts 8th Annual Conference

Mamaj Aviation Consult Limited, a leading advocate for career growth in Nigeria’s aviation industry, is set to host its 8th annual conference on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Nigerian Civil Aviation Annex, (MMIA), Lagos. 

The theme for this year’s event is “PROACTIVE APPROACH TO CAPACITY BUILDING IN THE AVIATION INDUSTRY.”

The conference, which is a career initiative aimed at promoting aviation careers development and inspiring young Nigerians to pursue careers in the industry, is scheduled to commence at 9am prompt. 

The event is expected to attract stakeholders, aviation training organizations, professionals, and aspiring young ones from all tiers of education.

According to Joy Ogbebo, the convener of the conference, the event is designed to introduce and mentor the next generation of aviation professionals on existing career opportunities in the industry. 

The conference will also provide a platform for professionals and aspiring aviators to connect, share knowledge, and identify key skills required to succeed in the industry.

The keynote speaker for the event is Engr. Umar Farouk, MD/CEO of Nama, while George Uriesi, COO of Ibom Air, will serve as the special guest speaker. Other invited guests include Capt. Donald Tonye Spiff, Dir. Operations, Licensing and Training, Mr. Bankole Bernard, GMD/CEO, Flnchglow Group, Mrs. Victoria Adegbe, CEO, Aviatrix Hub, and Olakunmi Odumosu, Head IT, Bellagio Air.

The conference is a non-profit career initiative, with funding provided by aviation agencies, corporate sponsors, airlines, and private sponsors. 

Over the years, Mamaj Aviation Consult has remained a formidable platform driving advocacy for career growth in Nigeria’s aviation industry, helping young Nigerians build their careers in various professions that make up the industry.

The event aligns with the agenda of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development to develop human capacity within the industry. 

The conference is expected to provide a valuable platform for young Nigerians to learn about the exciting world of aviation and explore career opportunities in the industry.
