The Acting Chief Operating Officer (Ag. COO) of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Tosan Duncan Odukoya addressed a Breakfast Forum with the theme ‘Rethinking Tourism in Nigeria’ on October 31, 2023.
Highlighting the importance of infrastructure and process flow in the tourism sector, she emphasized the role of well-structured infrastructure in shaping travelers’ journeys.
As a panelist at the event, the Ag. COO BASL discussed the success of tourism, emphasizing continuous growth, process reengineering, and technology adoption as key enablers.
She also mentioned Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited’s efforts to upgrade its check-in systems and IT infrastructure to enhance passenger experiences.
“It’s worth noting that Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited after creating a culture and lifestyle Art Gallery Experience, is currently upgrading its check-in systems through the upgrade of its Common User Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS). This upgrade aims to reduce idle time for customers by offering shorter check-in times and more quality-controlled waiting time.”

Duncan Odukoya stressed that today’s air travelers seek transparency, corporate responsibility, and efficiency, adding that, airports should transform into business centers offering diverse opportunities beyond aviation.
She highlighted MMA2’s role as a gateway to tourism in Nigeria and called for a shift from a linear view of processing to meet the diverse needs of travelers.
Urging stakeholders to focus on infrastructure development, emphasizing collaboration between the public and private sectors to achieve a vision of seamless travel.
