National President, Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, ATSSSAN Comrade Illitrus Ahmadu has assured workers in aviation agencies to be patient as efforts are on to ensure their Condition of Service CoS, is approved and released.
He said, the document would have been out but for the Presidential intervention in setting up a Committee to review all approval of salaries and wages in the condition of service.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary of the National Air Traffic Communicators Association of Nigeria (NACAN), in Abuja, Comrade Ahmadu said, “It has reached a point that we really need intervention by the highest level of governance of administration to get this document out”.
He said, efforts were made to meet with the new permanent secretary in the ministry of Aviation and only one issue was discussed the CoS and he promised to take action on the issue.
According to him, the document had to go through the presidential inter-ministerial committee set up by the president but assured that it had reached the stage that it was awaiting transmission back to Income, Salaries and Wages commission for released.
He urged workers to exercise patience as the document would be released soon stressing that, a lot can be achieved when all the unions work together.
“These are issues that are surmountable if only we can work together in harmony for the benefit of every Association in the industry in fairness and justices”.
