The Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has inaugurated a Ministerial Delivery Committee, in a bid to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.

The committee, tasked with overseeing the implementation of the ministry’s mandate, was officially launched in Abuja today.

The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, emphasized the critical role of the committee in ensuring the effective execution of the government’s eight priority areas, which include: food security, economic growth, poverty eradication, access to capital, inclusivity, security, fairness, and anti-corruption.

“The committee is expected to operate with a clear focus, guided by specific terms of reference. Their responsibilities include regular progress reviews, effective reporting, data validation, and providing information to support the committee’s objectives.”

The Permanent Secretary urged the committee members to approach their duties with diligence, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

He highlighted the significant challenges ahead but expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to transform them into opportunities for growth and development.

The committee’s success, Dr. Meribole noted, will not only impact the aviation sector but also contribute to the overall prosperity and global standing of Nigeria.

Several key stakeholders, including the Director General of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) and the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), expressed their support for the committee’s mission and pledged their agencies’ cooperation in achieving the set goals.
