The first batch of students of the Aviatrix Hub Training Institute have graduated after completing an intensive six weeks training for Basic and another six weeks for Advanced Flight Dispatch training in Lagos and Enugu states.
Aviatrix Hub Training Institute, is a Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority(NCAA) approved Aviation Training Organization, ATO.
The graduating students of the institute which is the maiden edition are, Lydia Olodun, Jude Olayiwola , Angela Chukwu and Afoma Onyechi .
Those who graduated in Enugu are Ibanga Matthew, Ibrahim Nathaniel,Orungbami Shola, Ibeabuchi Princewill and Aizenabor Benedicta.
Others are Ukpong Sunday,Anyanwu Henry, Chukwuka Godsglory and Ezenwa Anita.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion and the first President, Flight Dispatchers Association of Nigeria (FLIDAN), Taiwo Raji advised the graduates to be of good conduct outside the school in the course practicing their profession.
He urged them to be job creators and not job seekers and to also join hands with others in finding solutions to challenges and not create more challenges.
“To the graduands, today is your day and we are all sharing the joy with you and my advice for you is to know that graduating here today is a great achievement in your chosen career.
“In addition, I would like to advise you to be of good character outside school life when you will be working with others in diverse groups or organizations. Your qualification can make you better with hard work and good conduct. Have the determination to be a work creator and not job seekers. Join, fix the challenges and not create more challenges, remember to always be good ambassadors of your family and the institute”.
The FLIDAN President commended the management and staff of the institute for the knowledge they imparted on the graduands and the graduating students for pursuing their chosen careers despite the challenges.
During the intensive training, NCAA was at the premises of Aviatrix Hub Training Institute to monitor and observe and the regulatory body rated Aviatrix Hub highly for its style of training.
Prior to their graduation the students were also hosted at the Control Tower of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), where they witnessed firsthand the communications between the pilots and the control tower and how clearances were handled.
The Accountable Manager /Chief Executive Officer of Aviatrix Hub Training Institute, Mrs. Victoria Adegbe, expressed joy at the graduation of the school’s first batch of students.
She urged the graduands to be focused and steadfast in their profession as Flight Dispatchers are very important to flight operations and to always feel free to communicate with her in the course of the job as according to her, “I run an open door policy”.
According to her, the second batch would be graduating in December this year, adding that, the institute ensures both theory and sufficient practical classes for the students.
The representative of the President, Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN), Comrade Frances Akinjole commended the determination of the Accountable Manager /CEO of the school for starting on a very good foundation, adding that, what he has seen is the beginning of what to expect from her.
Also speaking, the Editorial Page Editor, Nation newspapers, Mr. Sanya Oni urged the students to be the spark of light in their little corner as they journey into the labour market.
For the CEO, Sanya said that he was not surprised that Adegbe is succeeding because of her zeal, passion and determination to succeed, urging her to keep the flag flying.
Present at the occasion were the General Manager, Aeronautic Information Service (AIS), Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Kabir Gusau, the Chief Inspector /Maintenance Safety and Aircraft Maintenance Engr. Sheri Kyari , members of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) led by its Chairman, Olusegun Koiki and representatives from Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) and her former students.

Aviatrix is an NCAA certified Aviation Training Organization (ATO) and it commenced operations with the enrollments of both Basic and Advanced Flight Dispatch courses a few months ago.
