In a move to improve aviation safety across West and Central Africa, AviAssist has joined forces with Landover Company Limited.
The partnership will see three aviation safety courses held at the Landover Aviation Business School (LABS) in Lagos, Nigeria, during the week of May 6th, 2024.
The program will feature two, two-day courses on “Human Factors in Aviation” and a separate course on “Team Leadership in Aviation.”
These courses are designed to equip aviation professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to promote a safer working environment.
Accessibility is a key focus of the initiative. Thanks to the support of sponsors like the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Airbus, and Boeing, the courses will be offered at significantly reduced prices, allowing more professionals to participate.
“A stronger safety record in West and Central Africa not only benefits traveler safety,” emphasized AviAssist Director Tom Kok, “but also helps lower operational costs across Africa, potentially leading to lower insurance premiums.”
He further highlighted the importance of a safe aviation sector for achieving the goals of the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).
Landover Company Ltd. Managing Director Capt. Edward Boyo expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. “We are delighted to collaborate with AviAssist, a leader in promoting aviation safety in Africa,” he said. “This aligns perfectly with Landover’s dedication to enhancing aviation safety in Nigeria and the wider region.”
This partnership between the AviAssist and Landover represents a significant step forward for aviation safety in West Africa.
By providing accessible training opportunities, the program aims to equip aviation professionals with the necessary skills to create a safer and more efficient aviation industry.
