The Asiwaju Iya Oloja General of Oyo State, Mama Juliana Titilola Raimi, is exploring a partnership with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at Ibadan Airport.
During a courtesy visit, accompanied by one of the daughters of Alaafin of Oyo State, Oba Odeyemi Lamiji the 3rd (the current Iyaloja General of Oyo State), she discussed the potential collaboration.
The purpose of the visit is to explore the feasibility of establishing an Ultra Modern International market on the airport’s land.
This initiative aims to bring development to the community and generate revenue for both the airport and FAAN.
Mama Juliana, with a track record in managing markets since 1985, provided insights into the evolution of markets in Oyo state.
Expressing optimism about the proposed market, she highlighted the transformation of Ibadan’s markets from four to a staggering 295, while Oyo State boasts a total of 495 markets.
The Asiwaju Iya Oloja General believes that this venture will be a significant leap forward.
The visit concluded with a group photograph featuring the Iyaloja General, her entourage, the airport manager, public affairs staff, and other personnel at the airport.
