Arik Air says it is  reinstating flights to Osubi Airport, Warri and Gombe Airport as well as move all Port Harcourt bound flights back to Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) with immediate effect.

This follows the suspension of an earlier decision by Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s (FAAN) to withdraw Aviation Security, fire fighting and rescue services to the airports.

The airline regrets any inconvenience the earlier closure of the three airports may have caused its esteemed customers.

The airline assures customers of a hitch-free operations this festive season.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN said the Gombe, Bebi and Kebbi were indebted to it to the tune of over N800 million for unpaid services.

To this end authority had threatened to withdraw its Security officers and Airport Fire and Rescue Services from these airports.

FAAN in a statement by its spokesperson, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu said despite concerted effort by the Authority to recover the money, the concerned parties were unwilling to settle their debts for the services rendered.
