Ex staff and pensioners of the defunct Nigeria Airways Limited, NAL trouped out this morning to drum support for the re-election bid of President Mohammedu Buhari.
The ex staff who converged on the Skypower Catering Premises to dress up for the rally wearing T-shirts and caps with the PBM pictures carrying banners also bearing the photos of the president and his vice later embarked on a road walk to Ikeja underbridge and back to the airport.
The rally led to heavy traffic gridlock on the airport stretching into other adjoining toads around the airport environs.
In a chat with reporters, one of the representatives of the ex staff, Mr.luqmon Animashaun said the reason for the campaign rally for president Buhari is to express their appreciation to him for listening to their cry for help after over 15 years for their severance benefits to be paid.
He said PMB fulfilled his promise made to them during his campaign in 2015 that if elected, he will pay them what is due them, adding that this he had done with the payment of 50% of their money while waiting for the balance to be paid in two months time.
