Air Peace Limited, Nigeria’s foremost airline, significantly has enhanced its operational capabilities with the arrival of its inaugural Embraer 190 aircraft.
The aircraft, registered as 5N-CEF, landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos Sunday at precisely 7:38 PM.
According to Air Peace spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, the newly acquired aircraft is a 118-seater and marks a new addition to the airline’s diverse and expanding fleet.
He also revealed that a second Embraer 190 is anticipated to arrive next month, further solidifying the airline’s strategic expansion aimed at strengthening both its domestic and regional services.
“This aircraft type introduces a new dimension to our service offerings,” Efe stated.
“It is engineered for efficiency, boasts eco-friendly features, and prioritizes passenger comfort with its 2-2 seating configuration, quiet cabin, and spacious interior, making it an ideal fit for many of our routes. It allows us to seamlessly connect more cities and serve previously underserved destinations with the appropriate capacity.”
The spokesman emphasized the airline’s unwavering commitment to alleviating the challenges of air travel in Nigeria through continuous investment in suitable aircraft for its extensive network.
With a fleet exceeding 30 aircraft, Air Peace maintains its leading position in West Africa’s aviation sector.
As of May 2025, the airline achieved an impressive average on-time performance of 85% across its domestic network, reflecting its consistent operational reliability and dedication to service delivery.
Looking ahead to the third quarter, Air Peace expresses optimism regarding its growth trajectory.
The airline has outlined plans to inaugurate new domestic routes, extend its regional reach, launch additional international destinations, and persist with strategic fleet acquisitions to cater to increasing passenger demand.
