The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, has hailed Air Peace as a “Nigerian product and a Nigerian pride” as the airline celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 25th.

The event, attended by all 36 state governors, industry leaders, and numerous dignitaries, recognized Air Peace’s significant contributions to Nigeria’s aviation industry and economy.

The Vice President, represented by the Minister of Transport, Hon. Sa’idi Alkali Ahmed, praised the airline’s resilience, patriotic spirit, and commitment to expanding domestic routes and positioning Nigeria as a regional air travel hub.

Air Peace’s Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, was commended for creating thousands of jobs for Nigerians and citizens beyond Nigeria’s borders.

The Vice President noted that the airline has displayed an exceptional level of resilience, which speaks to the strength of its leadership and workforce.

The federal government has committed to protecting the Air Peace brand and ensuring its continued success in the aviation sector.

The recent approval of the Cape Town Convention on aviation leasing is expected to reduce operational costs and foster competitiveness in the industry, empowering airlines like Air Peace to continue expanding and thriving.

Air Peace has played a pivotal role in repatriating Nigerians from conflict zones in Sudan, Libya, and South Africa, and the Vice President urged the airline to continue prioritizing people and community.

“Prioritize the people, listen to them, and carry them along,” he noted.

As Air Peace looks ahead to the next decade, it does so with a renewed commitment to its core values and a steadfast dedication to connecting Nigerians with the world.
