…….. Trains 250 members in one year
The Airport Fire and Safety Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (AFSCMS) says in order to improve the status of its members, it has commenced the payment of over N200m for its landed property at Lusada, Agbara Ogun state.
Just as 250 members have benefited from training and workshops/seminars to empower them on financial sustainability and post retirement skill empowerment
The president of AFSCMS, Mr Richard Tella who disclosed this in his report for the 2017 annual general meeting, explained that allocation of plots of land to subscribers was being carried out while individual survey was and documentation was also ongoing.
Tella further disclosed that work on the roads, drainage construction and electrification projects were in progress.
He announced that payment for the cooperatives school project in conjunction with the Federal Ministry of Transport and Aviation society was on to get the school registered at the Lagos State ministry of education to enable the school take off by next academic session.
The cooperatives, the president informed has perfected and submitted all necessary papers required to obtain certificate of occupancy from the federal ministry of works and housing Abuja for the construction of their guest house adding that when operational will boost the cooperatives revenue.
On the new secretariat, Tella said it became very important to reconstruct the old secretariat due to structural defects adding that they now have additional space to operate saying it will be commissioned soon.
Tella, while thanking members for their support, urged the agrived ones in the course of applying rules to comply with prevailing rules to facilitate the desired growth of the society
According to him, the society will continue to provide loans for members whenever available.
