The Acting President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo today paid a surprise visit to the Murtala Muhammed Airport(MMA),Lagos to inspect it’s facilities.
The Acting President during the visit inspected the travelator at the international wing of the airport and the three newly acquired and installed conveyor belts.
The unscheduled visit also took the Acting President to the Visa on Arrival Section and Security Screening area both manned by officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine service section.
While at the terminal, the Acting President was conducted around the terminal by the Minister of state for aviation, senator Hadi Sirika, the General Manger, Mechanical, FAAN, Mr. Ephraim Nwodo, who explained the workings of the facilities to their August guest.
At the baggage reclaim area which houses the three conveyor belts, Prof Osinbanjo who was very curious to know the workability of the facilities and the areas he visited directed the officials of FAAN to put on the facility to determine the functionality of the conveyor belt, which FAAN officials did to convince the August visitors.
