With the build up to the maiden edition of Abuja Jabamah, organizers of the events have disclosed that it will involve a mega Fam trip to 4 Nigerian cities in 7 days, tagged “7 days and 6 nights.
Jabamah is to include, M.I.C.E and Hotel Show in the Federal Capital Territory, Nights of Learning Networking, speed dating and mad Fun” with the Carnival Calabar Queens present all through.
Speaking about the event and Fam Trip, Mr. Ikechi Uko, the organizer explained that the, “The Fam Trip is aimed at four cities in Nigeria namely Abuja, Kaduna, Calabar and Lagos as an effort to explore and to promote their tourism potentials for domestic tourism while using the avenue to expose local tour operators and hotels to their foreign counterparts to promote domestic and outbound tourism”.
The fam trip will feature 3 Nights in Abuja as participants get to know Africa’s most Modern City – Abuja.
On the 18th there would be a day trip by the first Standard Gauge Rail in West Africa to Kaduna. The Fam Trip will continue with a flight to Calabar, for participants to be a part of the World famous Carnival Calabar’s 2nd Dry Run on the 19th of November and 1 day in Lagos, stretching from the 15th to 21st November. The one day tour of Lagos would offer the participants the opportunity to spend an exciting evening in Lagos, a city Like no other on Earth!
The total cost is One hundred and fifty thousand naira for those joining from Abuja and it covers Flight, accommodation and Tour in Calabar and Lagos, while two hundred and fifty thousand naira is for those joining from other cities in Nigeria.

The package has a second option for those interested in doing the Kaduna Tour with no extension to Calabar to pay one hundred and fifty thousand naira only from Lagos; participants resident in Abuja are to pay thirty thousand naira only for the tour to Kaduna and the event while delegates from Ghana would pay seven hundred Dollars.
Abuja Jabamah 2017 would also be used to celebrate the awards of Abuja Top 50 Tourism Pioneers and Abuja Top Abuja 50 New Hotels. The organizers also called on travel and tourism experts, stakeholders and the general public to send in their nominations for the two award categories. The awards would hold at the Travelers Night on the evening of the 17th November, 2017.
Abuja Top 50 Tourism Pioneers award was set up to recognize individuals who have distinguished themselves as pioneers in the travel and tourism industry in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory and through their efforts or that of their organizations have impacted positively on the travel and tourism sector across in Nigeria, whose efforts have stimulated and helped to achieve their individual country’s tourism goals and forging interactions among stakeholders and customers across the country.
Abuja Top 50 New Hotels is aimed at recognizing the latest hotels that with top class infrastructure with exceptional services. Your hotel was selected for the award after initial nominations was approved with assessment of your facility.
