Justice Daniel Longji of High court Five, Jos has granted leave to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to prefer charges against former Governor of Plateau State, Sen. Jonah David Jang and a cashier, Yusuf Gyang Pam.
Moving a motion Exparte, counsel to the EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, in an application sought leave of the court time to enable him prefer charges against the two accused persons as required by law.
According to the prosecution, due to logistics he could not get across to EFCC to get the accused for arraignment but however pledged to bring them to court on the next adjourned date.
The application having not been opposed by the accused, counsel Robert Clarke SAN, Justice Daniel Longji adjourned the matter to 16/5/18 for arraignment and bail applications.
