Assistant corps marshal Mehaux, harped on improved enforcement and productivity, saying ” if a staff or marshal goes out and does nothing and there are more deaths on the road, he has no business being on the road and so we want to look out that whenever anybody goes out, we wan to see that he is productive for the 8 hours his on the road and for those of them that are not productive, we will look for some other thing for them. Productivity for any organization is very important”
According to him, ” on a weekly basis, we have what is called the in- house training where the minimum expectations how to do is taught there, training and retraining is very important in our process, so no staff goes out without knowing what he is expected to do. We also have all the equipment, all the equipment, aqualizers, breathalyzers, digital ones, evidence based”.
Addressing the participants,  FRSC Lagos state Sector commander, Hyginus Omeje said the critical focus of this year would include the strict enforcement of the use of seat belts, use of phone while driving, overloading and over speeding.
“Enforcement of critical crash causing Offenses, those Offenses that matter on the road, we are looking at overspeeding, overloading, looking at phone while driving, rejuvenating use of seat belts even on the rear seat passengers, these are critical focus for this year that we hope, we will be able to expand on all the strategies we are going to adopt during this retreat”.
